Newport County is delighted to congratulate Tony Brown on being named the club’s Community Captain for 2026.
Tony has been a key figure within the County in the Community team for a number of years, dedicating his time to supporting a wide range of initiatives across Newport and the surrounding areas.
He currently oversees the delivery of three walking football sessions, helping to provide regular opportunities for participants to stay active, social and engaged through the game.
On matchdays at Rodney Parade, Tony also plays an important role supporting the ball retrievers, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and fully prepared throughout the afternoon. His commitment helps ensure the smooth running of matchdays behind the scenes.
Tony’s contribution continues to make a significant impact within the community, and his dedication is greatly valued by everyone at the club.
Without volunteers like Tony, Newport County would not be able to deliver the breadth of opportunities it currently provides across the city and beyond.
