The Exiles are back on the road this weekend as we travel north to face Harrogate Town at The Exercise Stadium. Below is your away-day guide to help you make the most of the trip — brought to you by The Turmeric Co.
The Stadium
Harrogate Town play at The Exercise Stadium, located on Wetherby Road, Harrogate (HG2 7SA). The ground is compact and modern, offering a friendly atmosphere for visiting supporters.
Away fans are housed in the PIB Insurance Stand, which includes 147 seats with full cover from the elements. The majority of away supporters will stand in the terrace area of the PIB Stand.
For families, the Kitchen Plant Hire Seated Stand provides a more relaxed experience, while wheelchair supporters are located in the home end.
South Gate Turnstiles are the designated entry point for away fans. Nearby, you’ll find two food kiosks offering hot snacks and drinks. Inside, Carling and Madri are available on draught alongside a selection of bottled drinks and soft beverages.
Getting to The Exercise Stadium
By Car
From both north and south, leave the A1(M) at Junction 47, taking the A59 towards Knaresborough. Follow the A658 towards Harrogate, and at the second roundabout, turn right onto the A661. You’ll pass a Sainsbury’s and continue straight through the traffic lights (with the Woodlands Pub on the corner). The stadium entrance is just further along on the right-hand side.
Please note that traffic can be busy on the A661, so allow extra travel time.
Street parking is available around the ground, but please respect local residents, as restrictions apply in some areas, limiting stays to two hours.
By Train
The nearest station is Harrogate, a 20-minute walk from the stadium through the Stray and into Wetherby Road.
Alternatively, Hornbeam Park Station is around a 25-minute walk (1.3 miles), while Starbeck Station offers another option roughly 20 minutes away.
Harrogate connects directly with Leeds and York, which in turn link to major cities including Manchester, London, Birmingham, Newcastle, and Liverpool.
Supporters’ Coaches
Supporters’ coaches and minibuses must not drop off outside the stadium.
Instead, parking is provided at the Harrogate Sports and Fitness Centre, Hookstone Wood Road, HG2 8PN — approximately a 15-minute walk (under a mile) from the ground.

Directions to the Parking Area:
From the A1, take the A661 and turn left at the traffic lights onto Hookstone Drive, then left again onto Hookstone Wood Road. Follow the road until you reach the large car park at the Sports Centre.
Accessibility
For supporters with disabilities or walking difficulties, there is a designated drop-off and pick-up point outside Willow Tree School (south of the ground).
This location must only be used for disabled travellers — all other supporters must use the Sports & Fitness Centre car park.
