Four Newport County players have been named in the Sky Bet League Two Team of the Week following an impressive and commanding win away at Harrogate Town on Saturday.
Matchday captain Lee Jenkins led by example, earning an outstanding match rating of 8.9 after a composed and dominant display at the back.
Defensive duo Joe Thomas and Cameron Evans also made the team, receiving ratings of 8.4 and 7.8 respectively. Both were key to the Exiles’ clean sheet, contributing to a solid defensive performance that limited Harrogate’s attacking threat throughout the match.
On-loan midfielder Sammy Braybrooke completed County’s representation, securing a rating of 8.1. The young midfielder has quickly become a fan favourite with his consistent, battling performances in the centre of the park, continuing to impress with his energy and composure.
