Harrison Biggins reflected on Newport County’s 2-2 draw against Rotherham United, his penalty goal, the team’s second-half performance and the belief within the squad as their unbeaten run continues.
Biggins admitted that County were disappointed not to take all three points after fighting back from two goals down but highlighted the importance of picking up another point on the road.
“We were actually disappointed that we didn't come away with all three points, which says everything, to be honest.
“But it's another point on the road and something to build on again.”
The midfielder also discussed his penalty and how scoring helped County build momentum and take the game to their opponents after the break.
“We get the momentum after scoring, so we wanted to go pushing, and we did a little bit.
“Then we picked up after that, and then half-time came, and in the second half, I thought we really took it to them.”
Biggins also spoke about the squad’s growing belief and the importance of maintaining their standards as they look to continue their positive form.
“We've got great belief in there between everyone, and I think we need to go and keep building on that and not get carried away.
“We need to keep our feet grounded, and we need to keep pushing.
“We've got another away game Saturday, which is going to be sold out, so we're going to go there, and we're really going to give everything we do every week.”
