Newport County will be turning the clock back on Saturday with former striker Willie Brown the special guest in hospitality.
Willie will be making the long trip down from his native Scotland to be with us for the League Two clash with Colchester United at Rodney Parade (3pm).
Having started his career at Burnley and Carlisle, Willie joined Newport in August 1970 for a fee of £1,500.
He was an instant hit with the Newport fans and scored 50 goals in 168 league appearances for the club before joining Brentford in March 1974 for £4,000.
He eventually found his way to Torquay United where he became a fans’ favourite again with 47 goals in 139 league games.
