Newport County Under-18s return to league action on Saturday afternoon as they host Plymouth Argyle at USW Sport Park (11am).
The young Exiles will be looking to bounce back after a narrow 2-1 defeat to Bristol Rovers in their last outing in the EFL Youth Alliance League.
Plymouth Argyle, on the other hand, come into the match in strong form, sitting in third place in the division. They’ve won four of their last five games, with one draw, and will be eager to continue their good run.
Speaking prior to his side’s test, academy manager Luke Hussey said: “Plymouth are second in the league and will be a tough test Saturday for us.
“We competed well in the reverse fixture last month with 1-1 draw. We’ve had a few lads training with the 1st Team this week and they will be available for selection for us.”
