This week’s featured artists

Never Enuf by Sego

These are an American indie rock band known for their quirky lyrics, punchy baselines, and energetic alternative sound. Formed in 2014 in Provo, the band was founded by Spencer Petersen and Thomas Carroll. Sego quickly gained attention in the indie scene with their 2015 EP Sego Sucks, which mixed deadpan humor with gritty garage-rock riffs. Originally starting as a more traditional rock project, Sego quickly evolved into something more experimental and unpredictable. Their music is characterised by punchy baselines, quirky rhythms, and a playful, sometimes satirical lyrical style. Rather than sticking to one lane, they lean into a DIY aesthetic that allows them to jump between sounds ranging from stripped-back grooves to high-energy, almost chaotic tracks. This is taken from their latest album “Straight to DVD” which was released last week.

Beautiful Lonely by Rosellas

An emerging indie rock band from the UK, steadily building a reputation for their melodic songwriting, atmospheric guitar work, and emotionally driven lyrics. Blending elements of indie, alternative rock, and modern British guitar music, the band has carved out a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh—drawing comparisons to the anthemic style of bands like Oasis and The Verve, while still maintaining their own identity. Formed in the North West of England, Rosellas began gaining traction through grassroots support, live performances, and a string of independently released singles. Their music often centres around themes of youth, ambition, relationships, and self-reflection, resonating with a growing fanbase across the UK indie scene. This is their latest single and is available now on all streaming platforms.

Let’s Make This Happen by The Utopiates

The Utopiates are a rising indie rock band from the North West of England with members from London. They are known for their emotionally charged songwriting, shimmering guitar textures, and a modern take on classic British guitar music. Blending indie rock with hints of psychedelia and alternative influences, the band have been carving out a distinct identity within the UK’s crowded indie scene. Formed by frontman and songwriter Dan Popplewell, The Utopiates began as a passion project that quickly gained momentum through a series of self-released singles. Their music often explores themes of escapism, love, mental health, and the search for meaning—delivered through atmospheric production and introspective lyrics. Sonically, the band sit somewhere between the melodic sensibilities of The Verve and the expansive, electronic sound of LCD Sound system. This is the title track from their second album which came out last week.
