Benjamin Speedie will be the referee when Newport County host Swindon Town in League Two on Friday night (7.45pm).
The experienced EFL official regularly oversees matches both in League One, League Two and more recently the Championship, and will officiate his first County game of the season.
The last time Speedie took charge of a County match was back in March 2024, a narrow 1-0 defeat against Barrow AFC in Cumbria.
So far this campaign, Brook has officiated 25 matches across various competitions, producing 84 yellow cards and one red.
His most recent assignment was overseeing Queens Park Rangers’ 2-1 away win against Hull City on January 21.
Speedie will be assisted by Ollie Williams and Ceri Williams, while Thomas Staten will serve as the fourth official.
