Newport County’s first-team squad spent a few days away in Minehead last week as preparations for the 2026-27 season continued.
The trip provided an opportunity for the players to step away from the training ground environment, with a mixture of beach sessions, team activities and team bonding helping to build relationships ahead of the new campaign.
Alongside the physical work, the squad enjoyed time together away from the pitch, strengthening the togetherness and team spirit that will be important throughout the season ahead.
Newport County would like to thank The Calorie Cook & Lounge for providing the barbecue during the trip, helping bring everyone together for an enjoyable evening.
The club would also like to thank Warehouse for lending the squad boxing gloves for one of the sessions, adding a different challenge to the players’ activities.
A special thank you also goes to Anchors Drop for providing the squad’s accommodation throughout the stay.
With pre-season preparations continuing, the squad will now return their focus to the upcoming fixtures as the team builds towards the start of the 2026-27 campaign.
