Newport County is delighted to unveil the club's limited-edition Imperium kit, created exclusively for the historic pre-season fixture against AS Roma at Rodney Parade.
Inspired by the iconic colours of Rome and Newport's own Roman history, the one-off design features a bespoke Roman-inspired pattern throughout the shirt, celebrating one of the most unique occasions in the club's history.
With only a limited amount of stock available, the Imperium kit has been produced as a special collector’s item to commemorate the visit of one of Europe's most famous clubs to South Wales.
The design also celebrates Newport's connection to Roman Britain. Just a few miles from Rodney Parade lies Caerleon, home to the archaeological remains of the Legionary Fortress of Isca Augusta and one of the best-preserved Roman sites in Britain. The historic landmark provides a fitting link for the visit of one of Italy's most iconic football clubs.
