Newport County can confirm that Riley Lonergan has joined Newport City on loan until the end of the season.
The County youngster spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Cardiff Metropolitan University FC, gaining valuable experience in senior football. Riley will now continue his development with fellow Newport side Newport City, stepping down a division to ensure regular playing time during the remainder of the season.
The move is designed to provide Riley with consistent competitive minutes at senior level as he continues his progression.
