Shared Shirts

As we welcome Bromley to Rodney Parade let's look back at some of the past players that have shared the shirt of Newport County and The Ravens. 

 

Lee Minshull

Lee Minshull who is now retired first played for The Exiles where he was initially on a loan from Wimbledon until joining Newport. He would later go and join Bromley after his stint at The Exiles.  

Minshull first joined county in January 2012 on loan from Wimbledon where he would stay with Newport until the end of the season. The Englishman helped Newport stay in the National League and was signed on a permanent transfer after the season. In his following season he would help Newport gain promotion through the playoffs. Minshull scored 12 goals as well as 12 assists during his tenure. 

After leaving Newport in the summer of 2015 Minshull joined Bromley where he stayed for two seasons. During his two seasons at the club, he helped Bromley to mid table finishes as well as scoring three times and having six assists. 

 

Corey Whitely

Corey Whitely is a name that has been around Newport and Bromley over the years, but Whitely now permanently plays his football for The Ravens where he has been since 2021. 

Whitely first joined Newport from Ebbsfleet in the summer of 2019 but mostly spent his time on loan at Bromley. During his time at the club Whitely featured 19 times scoring his only goal in a 5-4 loss to West Ham U23 as well as getting four assists with two of them coming in a 7-4 win against Cheltenham Town. 

The Englishman first joined Bromley on loan in January 2020 where he played the remaining half of the season. During his loan he got one goal in eight appearances. Whitely would not immediately join Bromley as he would spend the next season on loan at Boreham Wood but would leave Newport the following season to join The Ravens. During his time at the club, he has been promoted to League Two as well as currently being top of League Two.

 

Kyle Cameron

Kyle Cameron currently plays for Bromley but has also played for Newport during a loan spell from Newcastle United. 

Cameron joined The Exiles on loan in August 2016 where he would stay for half the season. The defender would feature eight times for County until returning to his parent club where he would have further loan spells. 

However, this season Cameron joined Bromley from Notts County and has featured 18 times for the club as well as being handed the captains armband for a handful of League Two games this season.
