Newport County forward Tanatswa Nyakuhwa has been included in the Cymru Under-21 squad for the final UEFA U21 EURO 2027 qualifiers against Belgium and Austria.

Nyakuhwa, who is on loan at Newport County from Cardiff City, has been named in Matty Jones' 23-player squad for the two fixtures.

Cymru Under-21s will travel to Westerlo to face Belgium on Tuesday, September 29, with kick-off at 7pm BST.

They will then host Austria at the Oval in Caernarfon on Tuesday, October 6, with kick-off at 5.30pm.

Both fixtures will be shown live on S4C's Sgorio.

The squad features a mixture of experience, including Charlie Crew, Kai Andrews and Ronan Kpakio, who have all been capped by the Cymru senior side.

Four players included in the squad were also part of the Cymru Under-19 squad that competed at this summer's UEFA U19 EURO finals in north Wales.

The fixture against Austria will be the first Cymru Under-21 international to be played in Caernarfon, following a significant redevelopment of the Oval ahead of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship finals.

Congratulations to Tanatswa on his call-up!
