Corey Evans is an English midfielder who joined Newport County's academy at under-16 level, having developed through the ranks at Bristol City. Born on 23 February 2007 in Bristol, Evans quickly established a strong relationship with Newport County Academy Manager, Luke Hussey. 

He has been a standout talent in the club’s Under-18s squad, known for his technical brilliance and set-piece proficiency. Evans' highlight-reel goals, including curling free-kicks and thunderous long-range strikes, earned him a nomination for March's LFE Goal of the Month Award, which he won after seeing off strong competition from across the country. 

In recognition of his potential, Evans signed his first professional contract with Newport County in 2025. He made his senior debut for the club in a 2–2 draw against Barnet in the EFL Cup on 29 July 2025. Evans is an exciting prospect for Newport County and will be hoping to make an impact in seasons to come.
