Moses Alexander-Walker is a talented young forward who has progressed through Newport County's academy system to earn a professional contract and make his first-team debut. A dynamic and direct attacker, Alexander-Walker is capable of operating on the right wing and across the forward line, with pace, power and confidence in one-on-one situations.
Born on July 27, 2007 in Bristol, Alexander-Walker began his football journey with Bristol City, joining the academy at the age of nine. He remained with the club until 2021 before later joining Newport County's academy, where he continued his development under academy manager Luke Hussey, who had first worked with him at Bristol City.
Alexander-Walker enjoyed an outstanding 2024-25 season with Newport County Under-18s, helping the side reach the semi-finals of the FAW Youth Cup. One of his standout performances came in a 6-0 victory over Briton Ferry Llansawel, when he scored a hat-trick in the second half.
His performances earned him a first-team opportunity and Alexander-Walker made his Newport County debut on May 3, 2025, coming off the bench against Tranmere Rovers on the final day of the League Two season. At just 17 years old, the appearance marked an important milestone in his development and a significant step on the pathway from the academy to the first team.
In July 2025, Alexander-Walker signed his first professional contract with Newport County, alongside fellow academy graduates Riley Lonergan, Corey Evans, Morgan Evans and Sam Watkins. The club subsequently triggered an extension option on his contract, keeping him at Rodney Parade for the 2026-27 season.
Alexander-Walker also made an impression during pre-season ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, scoring his first senior goal in a 1-0 victory away at Weston-super-Mare in July 2025. He showed composure to finish from close range after coming off the bench.
During the 2025-26 season, Alexander-Walker made his first appearances as a professional. He featured five times for Newport County before joining Bath City on loan in January 2026 for the remainder of the campaign, giving him the opportunity to gain regular senior experience in the National League South.
The loan move represented another important stage in Alexander-Walker's development as he experienced regular senior football for the first time. His pace, strength and direct approach provide him with the attributes to become an exciting attacking option as he continues to adapt to senior football.
Now 19, Alexander-Walker heads into the 2026-27 season as one of Newport County's promising young players. Having progressed from the academy to the first team and gained valuable experience on loan, he will be looking to continue his development and challenge for further opportunities at Rodney Parade.
