Habeeb Ogunneye joined Newport County on loan from Manchester United in July 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience from United's youth ranks and international youth duty with England.

Born on 12 November 2005 in Hackney, London, Ogunneye began his football journey at Manchester United's academy, progressing through the ranks to make his professional debut for the club's under-18 team at the age of 15. He has since represented United in various competitions, including the UEFA Youth League, Premier League 2, and the EFL Trophy. In February 2024, he earned his first senior call-up to the Manchester United first team, being named on the bench for an Emirates FA Cup fifth-round tie against Nottingham Forest.

Ogunneye made his debut for Newport County on 9 August 2025 in a 2–1 League Two defeat to Crawley Town. Despite the loss, he showcased his attacking intent and defensive capabilities.

His first senior goal came on 23 August 2025, when he scored in the sixth minute of a 2–1 home defeat to MK Dons.
