Scottish forward Lewis Jamieson joined Newport County in January 2026, signing a contract that runs until the end of the 2026–27 season.

Born on 17 April 2002, Jamieson began his career in the youth ranks at St Mirren, progressing through to the first team after signing his first senior contract in 2019. He made his Scottish Premiership debut during the 2020–21 season and gained valuable experience across domestic competitions.

To further his development, Jamieson enjoyed several loan spells in Scotland. He featured for Clyde on two separate occasions, had a productive stint with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Championship, and impressed during a loan at Airdrieonians where he scored eight goals in 20 appearances. He later spent time with Raith Rovers before making a move to the United States in January 2025, signing for USL Championship side Sacramento Republic.

A mobile and hardworking forward, Jamieson offers energy in the attacking third and an eye for goal. He made his Newport debut in January 2026 and adds further depth and competition to the Exiles’ forward line as the club pushes ahead in Sky Bet League Two.
