Tony Gilbert
Tony Gilbert was behind the scenes for 38 years. He started as a groundsman and remarkably went on to not only be the physio, but also the joint caretaker manager!
He said that his best moment was at Wembley for the FA Trophy Final and the worst, “having my £4.50 cheque being bounced when the club went bust. I still have the cheque pinned on the wall next to the washing machine!”
Whilst no longer on the Club Staff, Tony is at every game assisting in any way he can in the Bisley Lounge. Tony’s loyalty and hard work was recognised when he was inducted to the Hall of Fame at our Centenary Dinner, on 27th October, 2012.
