Looking at the home side
In their first season back in League 2 after being relegated on the final day last season, Notts County haven’t had the campaign that they were hoping for. Currently in 16th in the table they have only won three out of the last ten games, and whilst they are in no way in a relegation battle, they were hoping to be closer to the playoff places as the midpoint of the season draws near. Liam Noble is the Magpies’ top scorer so far this season with six goals in all competitions, but Michael Edwards and Izale McLeod join him as league top scorers, with four each.
Getting there
By Car: Leave the M4 at Junction 24 and follow the A449 and the A40 to the M50 into Leicestershire. Get onto the M1 and then leave at Junction 24. Continue on the A453 and then take the B679/A6011 into Nottingham. There is plenty of parking around the ground both on the street and in a multi-storey next to Nottingham train station.
By train: There is a direct train from Newport to Nottingham that takes just over three hours. The 10:18 train from Newport gets into Nottingham at 13:28 and the ground is a ten minute walk from the station. On the return journey the 18:10 train gets back to Newport at 21:11.

Last Time Out
Newport secured their place in the third round of the FA Cup with a brilliant 1-0 away win against Barnet. Scott Boden secured the win with his second half header that went in off the post and set up the home tie against Blackburn in the New Year.
Kit Colours
The Exiles will wear their red strip on Saturday, the same kit they wore in our 1-0 victory over Barnet last weekend.
