We make the long trip up to Hartlepool on Tuesday night hoping to extend our unbeaten run to five games.
Wins over Swindon and Barrow have been followed up by good draws against Stevenage and Walsall to earn us eight points from a possible 12 in our last four matches.
Hartlepool meanwhile are three without a win with a 2-0 defeat at Crewe coming either side of 2-2 draws against Sutton and at AFC Wimbledon.
Saturday's draw away against Wimbledon may feel like a win though, with Pools 2-0 down at the Wombles before Dan Kemp's brace earned a point, with the second coming in second-half stoppage time.
Three points for the Exiles at Victoria Park will further alleviate fears of a late-season survival fight as County are already eight points clear of the bottom two and seven above Hartlepool who are in the final survival space of 22nd.
County will have to watch out for the aforementioned Kemp, as he already has three goals since making the temporary switch to Hartlepool from League One MK Dons on the January transfer window deadline day.
Despite their struggles, Hartlepool have one of the more dangerous marksmen in the league, as forward Josh Umerah is currently the joint-seventh top scorer in the league with 10 goals from 30 games - County's top scorer is only one behind, Omar Bogle has nine.
County have no fresh injury concerns going into the weekend, with defender Declan Drysdale remaining the club's only long-term absentee. Matt Dolan will not be able to feature for Hartlepool as he is on loan from Newport County and is unable to feature against his parent club.
