Newport County AFC can confirm that Corey Evans has left the club by mutual consent.
The English midfielder joined Newport County’s academy at Under-16 level after developing through the ranks at Bristol City. Born in Bristol on 23 February 2007, Corey progressed steadily within the club and signed his first professional contract in 2025.
During his time with the Exiles, Corey earned recognition after winning the LFE Goal of the Month award in March, seeing off strong competition from across the country. He made his senior debut for Newport County in a 2–2 draw against Barnet in the EFL Cup on July 29, 2025.
Corey spent the first half of the current season on loan at Yate Town, gaining valuable experience in senior football.
