Newport County would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Grange University Hospital for welcoming the club to their Children’s Ward this afternoon to help spread some festive cheer.
It was an afternoon full of smiles, as Christian Fuchs, Mark Smith and members of the squad took time to meet the incredibly brave children on the ward, chat with their families, and thank the outstanding hospital staff who do such amazing work every day and are a real credit to Newport.
The players enjoyed getting to know the children, sharing laughs, signing autographs and helping to lift spirits during what can be a challenging time of year for many families.
We would also like to thank VX3 for partnering with us on the visit and helping to bring some extra joy, with plenty of Spytty Teddys and mini footballs gifted to the children ahead of Christmas.
From everyone at Newport County, we wish all the children, families and staff a very Merry Christmas, and we look forward to welcoming you to Rodney Parade once you have made a full recovery. Nadolig Llawen.
