Newport County makes the short trip across the Severn on Saturday, August 22 as Hayden Mullins' side takes on Bristol Rovers in the first away game of the 2026-27 League Two season.
With the away end sold out, a huge County following is expected at The Memorial Stadium for the 12.30pm kick-off.
Here's everything you need to know before making the trip.
The Memorial Stadium
Address | Filton Avenue, Horfield, Bristol, BS7 0BF
The Memorial Stadium has been the home of Bristol Rovers since 1996 and is located in the Horfield area of Bristol.
The stadium is approximately 26 miles from Rodney Parade by road, with the journey normally taking around 35–45 minutes depending on traffic. With a large away following travelling for the game, supporters are advised to allow plenty of extra time.
Getting there
By car
Bristol Rovers advises supporters to use public transport wherever possible, with matchday parking around The Memorial Stadium limited due to its residential location.
There is no general supporter parking available at the stadium on matchdays.
The club recommends a number of alternatives, including the Tesco Superstore on Lime Trees Road, which is around a 15-minute walk from the stadium, and Filton Road Car Park, which is approximately a 25-minute walk away.
Supporters should avoid parking on residential streets where restrictions apply and should not park on Horfield Common. Bristol Rovers specifically asks supporters not to park on the grass as this is prohibited under local by-laws.
Park and ride
Parkway North Park & Ride is located at Hunts Ground, Stoke Gifford, BS34 8PU.
From there, supporters can take the number 71 bus southbound and get off at Churchways Avenue, which is around a five-minute walk from The Memorial Stadium.
By train
The nearest major railway station is Bristol Parkway.
Supporters travelling via Bristol Parkway can use local bus services towards The Memorial Stadium, while Bristol Temple Meads is further from the ground.
Getting to the away end
Newport County supporters will be housed in the away section of The Memorial Stadium.
Follow signs for Away Fans on arrival and allow time to pass through the turnstiles and any necessary security checks.
Bristol Rovers has previously opened its away turnstiles well before kick-off, although supporters should check the latest matchday information before travelling for any specific changes.
The club's current guidance lists Filton Avenue as the closest bus stop to the stadium, with services running from both the city centre and surrounding areas.
Food and drink
There are food and drink options available at The Memorial Stadium, including bars and food outlets around the ground.
Bristol Rovers operates an Away Fanzone on matchdays, with the club's recent matchday information showing the area opening before kick-off.
Food and drink offerings can vary from fixture to fixture, so supporters are advised to check Bristol Rovers' latest matchday information before travelling.
Around the stadium
The Memorial Stadium is situated in a residential area, so supporters are asked to respect local residents when arriving, parking and leaving the ground.
The stadium is also close to Gloucester Road, one of Bristol's main areas for bars, restaurants and shops, although supporters should allow plenty of time to make their way to the stadium for kick-off.
