Newport County head to the EV Charger Points Stadium, traditionally known as Whaddon Road, for this League Two fixture against Cheltenham Town. Brought to you by Tumeric Co, our Exiles on the Road guide brings you everything you need for the day. With a sold-out away end, expect a strong travelling backing from Newport County supporters, with passion set to ring out from the Hazlewoods Stand as the Exiles look to push on in the run-in.
Away Supporters
Newport County supporters will be located in the Hazlewoods Stand, a covered, all-seater stand accessed from Whaddon Road. Entry is via the gate between the Bowls Club and a house on Whaddon Road.
With a full away allocation, the stand will be packed with travelling support from the Amber Army.
Away Fan Zone
There is no alcohol sales inside the away stand.
However, an away fan zone will be in operation directly next to the away stand entrance in the Bowls Club car park, where coaches drop off. This is the closest bar to the stadium and sits just 20m from the away turnstiles.
It is the last and closest bar option before entry into the ground. Food and soft drinks are available inside the stadium, but there are no alcohol sales due to all kiosks being within view of the pitch.
The fan zone will be open from 12pm on Saturday.
Disabled Supporters
Wheelchair spaces, with adjacent personal assistant seating, are located in the Hazlewoods Stand and are accessed from Whaddon Road.
Supporters requiring assistance can speak to stewards at the entrance or contact Cheltenham Town’s SLO team at slo@ctfc.com ahead of the match.
Travel | By Train
Cheltenham Spa Railway Station is over two miles from the stadium.
A taxi is the most convenient option. Alternatively, buses D and E towards Bishop’s Cleeve run from outside the station. Supporters should alight at Anlaby Court, around 10 stops into the journey, followed by a 10-minute walk.
