Newport County make the trip to the West Midlands this weekend as the Exiles face Walsall at the Bescot Stadium. Here is everything travelling supporters need to know ahead of the match.
Tickets
Tickets will be available to purchase on the day from the stadium, with a £2 increase on matchday prices.
The Ground
Bescot Stadium has been Walsall’s home since 1990 and has a capacity of just over 11,000.
Away supporters are usually located in the South Stand behind the goal, where the Exiles will be based for this fixture.
Getting There
By Car
The stadium is conveniently located close to the M6 motorway, making it one of the more accessible trips in League Two.
- Leave the M6 at Junction 7 if travelling from the south
- Leave the M6 at Junction 9 if travelling from the north
Follow signs towards the Bescot Stadium once in the local area.
By Train
Bescot Stadium railway station is situated within walking distance of the ground, around a five-minute walk from the away end. Services run from Birmingham New Street and connect easily with wider rail routes.
Parking
There is a car park available at the stadium for supporters arriving by car. Spaces can fill quickly on matchdays, so early arrival is recommended.
Additional parking may be available in nearby areas, including at the railway station.
Food and Drink
Food and drink options are available inside the stadium concourse for away supporters.
Supporters planning to visit pubs before the game may find more choice in Walsall town centre or in nearby areas before making their way to the ground.
Visiting Supporters Information
Turnstiles normally open around two hours before kick-off. Supporters are encouraged to arrive early to avoid queues and allow plenty of time to enter the stadium.
Newport County look forward to welcoming a strong following of Exiles at Bescot as the team continues its push in the final run of the season. UTC!
