Newport County manager Hayden Mullins spoke on why it wasn't to be for County this afternoon.
"One mistake we got punished for, and it's happened to us a bit at the moment. I think the time when we were in a little bit of control of the game, the ball comes to us, poor turnover in the middle of the park.
"I just said to the lads, for everything you put into the game, we didn't deserve to come away with nothing."
Mullins also spoke on the late goal and how the team can build from these moments.
"I think these are a good side. It's always tough to come away from home and dominate an opposition.
"It's just we've got to be tough to beat. I thought we were that for periods of the game.
"It's a moment where we've switched off and we've allowed them to score. Like I say, it was some strike from the edge of the box that beats our goalkeeper.
"I think it was more of us switching off today and that one moment of a mistake, that's letting them into the game."
However, despite the result, the manager was impressed with moments of the game today, especially how the team began the second half.
"We spoke about them coming out in the second half and being a little bit more aggressive, and I thought our boys stood up to that well.
"It's just that thing in the moment; we're turning over the possession in the wrong areas, and we're getting punished for it.
"But as I say, for large periods of the game, the boys did well. It was just that one moment which is the side of the game, really."
Three new signings also made their debuts for Newport this afternoon, with Mullins believing that they can contribute to the squad going forward.
"I think Matty (Jacob) offers a bit of experience in that position. He's level-headed and competed really well. He's come off his legs where we're starting to go a little bit on 60 minutes, so we had to get Matty off.
"I think Tan (Nyakuhwa) and Michael (Adu-Poku) obviously offer us a little bit of pace and athleticism in wide areas which is good. Something that we've needed.
"I think all three came on and added to us, and it was just a shame we couldn't come away with the result today."
