Newport County can confirm that the club has cancelled Jacob Carney’s contract by mutual consent.
The goalkeeper has joined Northern Irish semi-professional football club Glenavon FC in the NIFL Premiership.
Carney joined the Exiles in June 2024 after several years of development at Premier League club Manchester United and a subsequent spell at Sunderland.
Newport County would like to wish Jacob good luck with his new challenge and thank him for his service.
