Newport County can confirm that Kyle Cameron will captain the club for the 2026-27 season.
The defender, who joined Rodney Parade ahead of the new campaign, has worn the captain’s armband throughout pre-season and has now been officially confirmed as club captain.
Since arriving, Cameron has quickly made an impact both on and off the pitch, leading the side during pre-season and scoring his first goal for the club in the memorable friendly against AS Roma.
Known for his organisation, consistency and leadership qualities, Cameron will guide Hayden Mullins’ squad into the new season, which begins on Saturday with the Carabao Cup first round fixture against AFC Wimbledon.
