Newport County face their second game of the week as they travel to the EV Charger Points Stadium to take on Cheltenham Town.
County will be looking to continue their unbeaten league streak in front of a sold-out away end whilst Cheltenham look to build on their 4-2 victory from Tuesday.
Here is everything you need to know about our opponents.
The Opposition
Cheltenham finished 18th in the league last season as Steve Cotterill managed to lift them out of the relegation zone and secure safety.
The Robins did make it to the second round of the EFL Cup as they beat Exeter 2-0 in the first round before suffering a 3-0 defeat to Cardiff City.
Cheltenham also progressed to the third round of the FA Cup after beating Bradford City and Buxton before losing 2-0 to Leicester City.
So far this season, Cheltenham sit in fifth place but have struggled recently with only two wins in their last five league matches.
However, the Robins were eliminated in the first round of this season's EFL Cup as Charlton beat them 3-1.
The History
Cheltenham Town were founded in 1887 by local teacher Albert Close White. The club would play local football for the first couple of decades as a club.
But a massive move happened in 1931 as Cheltenham moved to Whaddon Road and became a semi-professional club.
The Robins would join the Southern League in 1935 and would record their biggest ever win as they defeated Chippenham Rovers 12-0.
However, the Robins would struggle in the late 1930's as they would deal with financial struggles, relying on players, shareholders and fans to keep the club alive.
After the Second World War, Cheltenham would remain in the lower leagues but would gain promotion to the Alliance Premier League in 1985; however, they would be relegated seven years later.
But in 1996, the appointment of Steve Cotterill would propel the club through non-league, and the Robins would win promotion to the Football Conference.
In 1999, Cheltenham would enter the English Football League for the first time as they won the Conference title.
Seven years after winning promotion, Cheltenham would win the League Two play-off final against Grimsby Town and would enter League One for the first time.
However, in recent years, Cheltenham have found themselves back in League Two with Cotterill back in charge.
The Manager
The current manager of Cheltenham Town is Steve Cotterill.
This is Cotterill's second spell in charge of Cheltenham, having first managed the club from 1997 to 2002 as well as playing for the club between 1986 and 1987.
Cotterill managed to win the FA Trophy, the Football Conference, and the Football League Third Division playoffs during his first spell at Cheltenham.
The Englishman has extensive managerial experience, having taken charge of Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest, and Burnley.
Cotterill has also won many individual awards, with his most recent coming in October 2025, when he won the EFL League Two manager of the month award.
Ones To Watch
Charlie McCann recently won the September EFL League Two player of the month award and will look to continue his hot form. The midfielder has already scored seven goals this season, as well as an assist in his most recent match against Fleetwood Town. McCann will look to build on his latest performance and find his name back on the scoresheet.
Jake Evans is another player to look out for this weekend. The loanee from Leicester City has already had six goal involvements in the league this season, with his most recent goal coming against Fleetwood on Tuesday. The young winger will look to cause trouble on the right-hand side and is one to keep an eye on.
