Newport County suffered their first league defeat in eight games as they were defeated 1-0 by Cheltenham Town.
A goal from Charlie McCann in the first five minutes of the game sealed all three points for the hosts as they earned back-to-back league wins.
The result currently leaves the Exiles in 14th place as they sit two points away from a playoff position.
County came into the game with one change to the starting line-up as Alfie Merritt made way for Yahya Bamba.
Harrison Biggins made the first attempt of the game, audaciously trying to score from deep in his own half, but the shot went wide.
But inside the first five minutes, McCann put the hosts in front as Jake Evans worked his way into the box to find McCann, who found the side netting.
Biggins continued to threaten as the hunt for an equaliser began, with his free-kick effort just sailing over the bar as Cheltenham held onto the lead.
Kyle Cameron had his first chance of the game halfway through the first half as a crossed ball fell to his feet as he put Wyll Stanway to the test, but the keeper made an easy save.
Ged Garner grabbed the first booking of the game in the 30th minute after taking down his man, as he prevented a Robins counterattack.
McCann continued to work as he attempted to add a second to his tally, but his low-driven shot went wide of the right post.
Garner grabbed another chance not long before half-time, but his effort could not find the target as Cheltenham went into half-time in the lead.
Michael Adu-Poku saw the first chance of the second half as Biggins played the ball to him outside the box, but his effort went wide.
Moments later Cheltenham saw one of their coaches get sent off after he came out of the dugout and shouted towards the pitch.
However, County were awarded a penalty with 30 minutes to go, but Stanway made the save to keep the Robins in front as Biggins couldn't capitalise on the chance.
As the game reached the 75th minute, County still dominated offensively but could not find the back of the net.
George Miller came close in the closing minutes of the game as he was slipped through into the box, but his effort went wide before being flagged for offside.
Miller once again found another opportunity come his way as the ball fell to him a yard away from goal, but the striker managed to miss the goal, putting the ball off target.
As six minutes were added on the fourth official's board, Adu-Poku struck the ball from just outside the box with his curling effort just missing the top corner.
A Newport corner was the last close chance of the game as Matt Smith's delivery found the head of Lee Jenkins, but he could not direct his effort to goal.
