Bath City held Newport County to a stalemate 2-2 draw at Twerton Park.
It was County who scored the first goal of the afternoon as Ged Garner’s well-hit strike found the bottom right corner minutes before half-time.
However, just moments into the second-half Bath equalised as Danny Greenslade scored from his own corner kick.
The Exiles fought back as youngster Harrison Halpin scored his first ever County goal as his header found the side netting.
But it was The Romans with the last laugh as former County man Alex Fisher grabbed a late equaliser.
Newport have now drawn their last two pre-season games and will next face off against League One side Reading.
Newport County came close to opening the scoring when Halpin latched onto an opportunity inside the penalty area, but his effort drifted narrowly wide of the target.
Twelve minutes in, County carved out another promising chance as an inviting through ball found Moses Alexander-Walker, who broke into space but was unable to find the back of the net with his finish.
The home side created their first real opportunity of the match through Harry Parsons, but his header flashed wide of the target.
County continued to threaten, earning a dangerous free kick in a promising position. Matt Smith stepped up to take it, but his effort was well saved by Harvey Wiles-Richards.
Moments later, Alexander-Walker came close from inside the six-yard box, only to be denied by some excellent defending from the Bath City back line.
But on the brink of half-time The Exiles broke the deadlock as Garner's deflected strike found the back of the net, giving the Exiles a 1-0 lead heading into the break.
County continued to press after the restart, with Garner creating another good opportunity inside the penalty area. However, his effort lacked the power to trouble the City goalkeeper, who gathered comfortably.
The Romans drew level when Greenslade converted from close range following a delivery from the corner flag, bringing the score level.
The Exiles restored their lead through scholar Halpin, who powered a header into the side netting from a superbly delivered Smith corner to make it 2-1.
County created another promising opportunity as Yahya Bamba delivered an inviting cross into the danger area for Cole Jarvis, but the forward was unable to capitalise and convert the chance.
Despite appeals for offside, Bath City found an equaliser with ten minutes remaining, bringing the scores level once again.
The hosts came close to taking the lead with a powerful effort from outside the penalty area, but a brave block from Smith ensured the scores remained level.
