Newport County earned a hard-fought point on the road in South Yorkshire after fighting back from two goals down against Rotherham United.
Goals came from Harrison Biggins from the penalty spot and Ged Garner from close range to secure a valuable point for the Exiles.
Hayden Mullins made four changes to the starting line-up for the trip to Rotherham United, with Alfie Merritt, Joe Thomas, Ged Garner and Michael Adu-Poku all coming into the side.
Despite an offside flag, Newport County made the first attacking move of the game, with a ball into the area finding Kyle Cameron, who was adjudged to be in an offside position.
Rotherham United took an early lead from the penalty spot after Joe Thomas was penalised for handball inside the area, with Paul Mullin making no mistake from 12 yards.
The Millers continued to threaten the County defence moments later as Spence showcased his trickery down the right flank before delivering a low cross into the box. Mullin was unable to bring the ball under control, allowing Jellis to take possession, but his effort under pressure was directed wide.
The hosts doubled their advantage when Jayce Fitzgerald threaded an excellent pass through to Aaron Nemane, who made no mistake with his finish to put Rotherham in a commanding position.
Adu-Poku looked to provide a response for the Exiles, driving into a dangerous area inside the box. Despite being closely marked, he showed good footwork to evade his defender before laying the ball off to Matt Dibley-Dias, whose effort sailed over the crossbar.
County reduced the deficit just before the half-hour mark after Adu-Poku was fouled inside the penalty area. Harrison Biggins stepped up and calmly converted from the spot, giving the visitors a foothold in the contest and providing a much-needed boost.
Rotherham looked to restore their two-goal advantage before the break, with Nemane once again threatening down the right-hand side. However, Matt Dibley-Dias produced an excellent last-ditch block to deny the hosts.
The Millers started the second half on the front foot, sending a ball into the penalty area which goalkeeper Jordan Wright punched clear. The loose ball fell to Spence in space, but his effort took an awkward bounce before missing the target.
Wright was called into action again shortly afterwards, producing an excellent double save to keep County in the contest amid a crowded penalty area.
The Exiles' persistence paid off as they found an equaliser through Garner. After the ball deflected off the Rotherham goalkeeper, Garner reacted quickest to convert from close range and bring the scores level.
With momentum firmly behind the visitors, County continued to push forward in search of a winner. Ciaran Brennan saw an effort blocked, with appeals for handball following the incident, but the referee waved play on.
Substitute Kion Etete made an immediate impact, using his pace and trickery to drive down the flank and cause problems for the Rotherham defence before winning a corner. The forward continued to trouble the hosts moments later, using his strength superbly to win a free-kick in a dangerous area.
Matt Smith then tried his luck from distance, but his effort sailed comfortably over the crossbar.
Rotherham responded with a chance of their own as Mullin struck towards goal, only for his effort to drift narrowly wide.
County continued to search for a winner, with captain Kyle Cameron getting on the end of a loose ball from a set-piece. However, he was unable to keep control of the opportunity, and his effort went over the bar.
Both sides continued to push for a decisive goal as the contest entered its closing stages, with County showing renewed belief after fighting back from two goals down to draw level.
