Newport County is pleased to announce the permanent signing of defender Jaden Warner from Norwich City, subject to international clearance and EFL approval.
The 22-year-old has joined the Exiles on an 18-month contract and will strengthen Nelson Jardim’s defensive options for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.
Warner, who spent 11 years in Norwich City's youth academy after joining the club as a youngster in 2014, now makes the move to Rodney Parade.
During his time with the Canaries, Warner was included in Championship matchday squads for this season’s fixtures against Sheffield United and Leeds United.
The promising defender made his senior debut in last season's 2-1 EFL Cup defeat to Premier League side Fulham in September 2023, before going on to make his Championship bow in a 3-1 loss to Blackburn Rovers two months later.
Warner also arrives with valuable League Two experience, having had a brief loan spell at Notts County last season, where he made 10 appearances.
Upon completing his move to Newport County, Warner said: “I’m very pleased to get the deal done.
“There was a lot of interest, but as soon as I had the phone call from Newport County, it was a no brainer for me.
"It was the right time for me to make the move and it's a good step in my career to go out and play.
“I can’t wait to get started at the club now."
