A historic night awaits at Rodney Parade as Newport County welcome Italian giants AS Roma for a special pre-season fixture on Tuesday evening.

The fixture will mark Hayden Mullins' first home match as Newport County manager, giving the new head coach the opportunity to experience the famous Rodney Parade atmosphere from the home dugout for the first time.
Having previously visited Rodney Parade as an opposition coach, Mullins knows the impact the Amber Army can have and is looking forward to finally leading County in front of the home supporters.
"I've been here and worked here for opposition sides, so I've seen the fan base and I've seen the passion from the stands," said Mullins.
"When this place is bouncing and it's going well on the pitch, it's a fantastic place to play. I've got a fantastic opportunity now to experience it as your head coach."
Following Saturday's pre-season victory over Yeovil Town, the squad will now test themselves against one of Europe's most historic clubs, with the fixture providing another valuable opportunity ahead of the new campaign.
The visit of AS Roma will also see Rodney Parade transformed for a celebration of Italian culture, with supporters able to enjoy a range of matchday experiences before kick-off.
Ostuni will be creating an Italian village in the fan zone, bringing a taste of Italy to Newport with food and activities for supporters to enjoy ahead of the match.
The club's limited edition Imperium kit will also take centre stage, with the one-off design created especially for the occasion. The shirt features a number of special partnerships, including Mono Metals on the back, JUS on the shorts and Vincor Developments on the sleeve.
With additional seats now released in the East Stand following an expanded home allocation, supporters have another opportunity to be part of a memorable night at Rodney Parade.
