Robbie Willmott who now plays for Cymru Premier side Barry Town is well known for his time playing at Newport; however, the Englishman began his career at Cambridge. Willmott was brought through at the Cambridge academy and made his league debut against Crawley Town in a 2-1 win on the 15 September 2007.

However, Willmott was transferred Ebbsfleet where he played for several clubs for the next few years.

But, in 2017 Willmott returned for his second stint at the club in which during this time he would feature in historic matches for the club such as the FA Cup fixture against Leicester in which the Exiles won 2-1 with Willmott getting an assist. The FA Cup 1-1 draw against Tottenham in which again Willmott provided an assist. He has also been a part of the team that beat Middlesbrough where he contributed to both goals as well as the 2-1 win against Leeds.
