Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the signing of versatile forward and midfielder Cole Jarvis from National League South side Merthyr Town FC.
The powerful 24-year-old began his football journey through the Merthyr Town academy and spent five years developing his skills across the Welsh league system, progressing to Cymru South outfit Newport City in 2023.
Cole returned to Merthyr Town 12 months later, signing a two-year contract, and has enjoyed an impressive 2025-26 season so far, registering seven goals and five assists in 29 appearances.
Equally comfortable operating in midfield or attack, Cole’s versatility and dynamism make him a valuable addition to the Newport County squad as Christian Fuchs looks to strengthen his options ahead of the run-in.
