Michael Reindorf

Newport County are pleased to confirm the signing of Michael Reindorf, who joins the club on a season-long loan from Cardiff City, subject to EFL approval.

The 20-year-old forward becomes the latest addition to David Hughes’ squad ahead of the 2025/26 Sky Bet League Two campaign.

A powerful and athletic forward, Reindorf began his footballing journey at West Ham’s academy, before being a part of the youth setup at Leyton Orient. Michael secured his first senior contract with Norwich City in 2023 and enjoyed a loan spell with Kettering Town. Reindorf then sealed a move with Cardiff City in July 2024. Since arriving in South Wales, he impressed at under-21 level with a string of strong performances for the Bluebirds' development side. He has also gained League One experience with Bristol Rovers last season, featuring on four occasions.

Born in London, Reindorf brings a strong physical presence, pace, and an eye for goal to the Newport frontline.

Exiles boss David Hughes said “We’re delighted to welcome Michael to Newport County. He’s a really good addition to what we already have. He has great energy, and a great ability to threaten space in behind. I’d also like to thank Cardiff City for trusting us to work with their young player and to help him develop, whilst understanding our responsibility to ensure that we deliver a successful team on a consistent basis.”
