Newport County is currently recruiting for two exciting roles within its Academy.

The club is seeking applications for the positions of head of education, lead YDP coach and lead Academy physiotherapist, offering the opportunity to play a key role in the development of the next generation of Newport County players.

 

Head of Education

Our head of education plays a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of players throughout the Academy programme.

We are looking to recruit a qualified, experienced and passionate educator to join our successful team of staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering educational sessions, observing Professional Development Phase training, attending weekend fixtures where applicable, supporting the individual development of players and contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of the club's education syllabus.

Lead YDP Coach

A fantastic opportunity has also arisen to join Newport County's Academy coaching department as lead YDP coach.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and enhancing the Academy coaching programme across the Youth Development Phase age groups.

Working closely with the Academy manager, head of coaching, head of schoolboy football & operations, and the wider coaching and performance staff, the role will play a key part in delivering the club's training and games programme while supporting the development of Academy players.

Lead Academy Physiotherapist

Newport County is also seeking an experienced and forward-thinking lead Academy physiotherapist to lead the delivery of medical and performance support services across the Academy.

This role is central to the development, wellbeing and long-term athletic progression of Academy players, ensuring the highest standards of physiotherapy provision in line with the club's performance philosophy and the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).

The successful candidate will lead the Academy performance support department, working closely with multidisciplinary team colleagues across sports science, medicine, nutrition and coaching, as well as senior leadership, to deliver a fully integrated and player-centred approach to player development.
