County in the Community | October Half-Term Camps Recap

County in the Community | October Half-Term Camps Recap

County in the Community delivered another fantastic week of football fun during the October half-term, hosting four days of action-packed camps at John Frost High School.

The sessions welcomed young players from across Newport and surrounding areas, providing an enjoyable environment to develop football skills, make new friends and stay active throughout the school break.

Across the week, participants were treated to surprise visits from several Newport County first-team players. Anthony Glennon, Tom Davies, Ged Garner, Moses Alexander-Walker and Matt Baker all dropped in to meet the young footballers, take part in training activities, answer questions and sign autographs.

Their visits proved hugely popular, inspiring the next generation of Exiles and giving local children a memorable experience to treasure.

The half-term camps form a key part of County in the Community’s ongoing work to support grassroots sport and promote positive, healthy lifestyles across Newport.

County in the Community would like to thank all participants, parents and staff who helped make the October half-term camps a great success.
