Newport County’s Emirates FA Cup second round tie against Boreham Wood has been selected for live television coverage.
The match will take place on Sunday, 7 December, with kick-off scheduled for 2:30pm, and will be shown live on BBC Two, BBC iPlayer and TNT Sports 1.
Following their dramatic extra-time victory over Gillingham in the first round, County will now travel to Meadow Park as both sides look to book their place in the third round — when Premier League and Championship clubs enter the competition.
The fixture is one of ten second-round ties chosen for live broadcast across the BBC and TNT Sports platforms, with each club involved in a televised match receiving an additional £60,000 broadcast fee.
A total of 20 matches will be played across the second round weekend, with ties taking place between Friday, 5 December and Monday, 8 December.
Supporters unable to attend will be able to watch every moment of the Exiles’ FA Cup journey live as County aim to reach the third round for the second time in three seasons.
