UNITE FOR ACCESS

Image
unite for access

Tuesday night's game will be our dedicated to 'Unite For Access' - a celebration of access and inclusion for disabled sports fans.

The campaign is run by the leading disability fan advocacy charity in England and Wales, Level Playing Field.

Almost a quarter of the UK population is disabled, making disabled people the largest minority group in the UK. It is therefore very likely that someone in the seats near to you at today is a disabled fan, or you might be a disabled supporter yourself.

Different structural and societal barriers can impact disabled fans’ matchdays, but the 2024 Level Playing Field Annual Fan Survey results showed ‘attitudes of others’ is the second most common barrier to attending live sport, ranking only behind ‘physical access’. This means that everyone reading this can play an important role in making live sport more inclusive.

Disability can be a complex subject matter, and that is why we invite both disabled and nondisabled fans to engage with us through this important campaign and to ensure access and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.

We ask you to…
